Project Update: February 24, 2023

02.24.2023

Moving into next week, barring inclement weather and extreme cold, you can expect to see continued duct bank excavation and installation continues at our work sites on Furnace Brook Parkway. Please note that there is approximately three weeks of construction remaining on Furnace Brook Parkway. All other project-relation construction will take place at the Field Street Substation.

As always, we ask that drivers and pedestrians remain mindful of lane shifts, posted traffic signage, and the direction of police details stationed around these work zones.

Week of February 27: Construction Activity

  2. Field Street Substation construction

Week of March 6: Construction Activity

  1. Duct bank installation on Furnace Brook Parkway between Hancock Street and Lafayette Street
  2. Field Street Substation construction

Please know that construction is scheduled to minimize the impact on traffic and everyday life; sections of your street will likely only be impacted by the construction for weeks—not years. That said, we understand that construction doesn’t always feel “short-term” when it’s in front of your home or business. As work begins in your area, we will continue to work to mitigate inconveniences that come up to the greatest extent feasible. Please let us know about upcoming deliveries, schedules, and events that could be impacted by work.

*Please note, due to the complexities of outdoor construction, schedule is subject to change.
