This week you can expect to see restoration activity on Furnace Brook Parkway as contractors continue to replace curbing and sidewalks, place road markings and pour ramps this section on the project route. During the week of November 3, barring any unforeseen issues, contractors will continue their work on Furnace Brook Parkway and move a crew to Newport Avenue (between Furnace Brook Parkway and Beale Street) during the week of November 3 to raise utility castings ahead of paving planned for the week of November 10.

As a reminder, approved work hours continue to be 7:00AM to 3:30PM, Monday through Friday. If you are driving or walking in the area, please remain mindful of lane shifts, posted traffic signage, and the direction of police details.

Please know that construction is scheduled to minimize the impact on traffic and everyday life; sections of your street will likely only be impacted by the construction for weeks—not years. That said, we understand that construction doesn’t always feel “short-term” when it’s in front of your home or business.
