Project Update: September 2, 2022
09.02.2022
This week you can expect to see continued activity at two main work sites along the project route. You may also notice intermittent test pit activity taking place on Southern Artery between Russell Park and Coddington Street. Please note that there will be no construction on Monday, September 5 in observance of Labor Day.
Manhole installation continues on Southern Artery between Greenleaf Street and Russell Park. Here contractors are excavating and installing the second of two manholes at this location. Please note that traffic will be maintained in both directions during construction. For more detail on the manhole installation traffic management plan for this work site, please click here.
Lastly, duct bank installation is scheduled to continue on Newport Avenue between Central Avenue and Morgan Road.
As always, we ask that drivers and pedestrians remain mindful of lane shifts, posted traffic signage, and the direction of police details stationed around these work zones.

Please know that construction is scheduled to minimize the impact on traffic and everyday life; sections of your street will likely only be impacted by the construction for weeks—not years. That said, we understand that construction doesn’t always feel “short-term” when it’s in front of your home or business. As work begins in your area, we will continue to work to mitigate inconveniences that come up to the greatest extent feasible. Please let us know about upcoming deliveries, schedules, and events that could be impacted by work.
